Various Small Fires (VSF) Gallery

Designed, demolished, and constructed in 4 months, VSF Dallas was the closest thing to a sprint we have known. Carved out of a former storefront on the ground floor of downtown’s Joule Hotel, this 714-square-foot space serves as the Texas foothold for Various Small Fires. When you only have sixteen weeks to deliver an international gallery, there is absolutely zero room for second-guessing. The project became a study in decisive editing, carefully negotiating the tight footprint to fit a proper exhibition space alongside just enough hidden storage to keep the gallery humming. It was a high-speed crash course in doing more with less, and thankfully, we had a wildly ambitious client willing to run the race with us.
